Oxfordshire moves into Tier 4 December 2020
We are sharing Oxfordshire County Council’s information and advice on the Tier 4 restrictions and the implications.

Resources within Wheatley
With the second lockdown essential businesses (supermarkets, food shops) are able to stay open. Other businesses have adapted to provide takeaways only and others have unfortunately had to close for the time being.
All grass root sports and indoor facilities has been cancelled or closed and this includes the tennis courts at Holton Playing Fields. All three parish council owned play areas will remain open.
Wheatley is lucky to be surrounded by open countryside with many footpaths to surrounding villages or to the River Thame for us to walk.
Support in Wheatley
Whether you are self isolating because you have been advised to, or because you may be suffering from COVID-19, volunteers from your community are still available to help you with basic supplies, collection of prescriptions, or a for a friendly chat over the phone. Wheatley Support Group continue to co-ordinate volunteers to help residents. If you or someone you know needs assistance please make contact from the Wheatley Support Group through their website.

Support from South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC)
There is support for individuals and families from SODC’s website or by calling 01235 422600
There is support for businesses in the area from SODC’s dedicated web pages
If you are a landlord or tenant there is also dedicated support for you online or by calling 01235 422436
Support for local organisations
If you are involved with a Wheatley based organisation, or a local/national organisation that directly supports members of our community Wheatley Parish Council may be able to provide small grants. Please visit our grants page for more information.
Wheatley Parish Council
Officers continue to work during the lockdown, although the parish office remains closed to the public.
Contact can be made by calling, emailing or using the ‘contact us’ form.
The calendar of Parish Council meetings continue as normal, although meetings are held virtually, using ‘Microsoft Teams’. The public are welcome to join these meetings and links can be found on the published agendas, or by contacting the parish office.
