Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Wheatley, Ladder Hill

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 19 September 2016

Coming into force: 26 September 2016

 

This Order is being introduced because of sewer repair works which are anticipated to take 3 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in that length of Ladder Hill from Windmill Lane to Kelham Hall Drive.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for local traffic is via Station Road, Littleworth Road, Gidley Way, Cuddesdon Road and vice versa. The diversionary route for HGV’s is via the B480, A4142, A40 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

The New Local Plan – Preferred Options Consultation

Have your say on the new South Oxfordshire Local Plan

South Oxfordshire District Council is continuing work on a new Local Plan which will shape the future of our District. They would like your views on their latest Preferred Options.

The Local Plan 2032 will set out how development will be planned and delivered across South Oxfordshire to 2032. The policies in the plan will be used to help make decisions on planning applications in the district.

SODC Consultation – New Housing in Wheatley – 13th July 2016

South Oxfordshire District Council’s consultation about new housing in Wheatley will take place on Wednesday 13th July at 3pm – 7pm in the Merry Bells.

The Wheatley Neighbourhood Plan Committee will also be represented.
